New Zealand 2022: Day 6 New Zealand Fingerbuns

Not much happened today at all. Thursday was called off for bad weather that is impacting the area for the next several days. Going out on the road isn’t really recommended as there is plenty of wind and rain. Hopefully it clears up over the weekend. At least we are in the North Island in the Northland area instead of the South Island where they have copped the bad weather.

We did go through some family photos before we went out to a local bakery for lunch. While looking through the supermarket we did find plenty of toilet paper and eggs unlike the issues they are having back in Australia. I believe a 40 pack of loo paper would last a long time. No restrictions with groceries and there are plenty of pain relief like panadol and cold tablets. Supermarket is better stocked than back at home, it is actually pretty good to see.

This was the day we had to do our next lot of Covid tests and I had the email waiting for me when I got up this morning, so New Zealand really does follow their guidelines to make sure everything is flowing. We have shared a pack between mum and I as we didn’t really need to take a pack each. Answering the survey was really easy and all we had to tell them was if the line was on the control meaning negative. You get thanked too. Hopefully they don’t need to follow up anymore.

Since we have a fire place I bought the wood up from the garage as at the moment with the weather it means it is cold and a fire is needed.
